As a result I am eligible for Working Tax and Child Tax Credit. How accurate is this? As I do not wish to end up paying it all back? They told me they have to do with with this situation all the time so they calculated it accurately. Hope you can help. Thanks.

Can I Work Under 16 Hours A Week And Still Claim Child Tax Credit Not Working Tax Credit?
Question by NICOLA B | Posted in United Kingdom
I am a university swat with two children. I'm on my summer break and wanted to look for work. I claim child tax honour and wanted to know if I could work under 16 hours without my claim being affected.
I don't dearth to change to working tax credit because it's too much messing around when I'm going back to uni soon.
Please help!
Answer: Don't twig why you don't want to claim Working Tax during uni break. If you're already receiving Child Tax its only a phone call to tell them your working & then another when your not.
Is it because you're allso receiving Lodgings & Council Tax benefits or Income Support because if you are then anything you earn over £20 is going to influence Income Support which could then lead to reduction in amount of Housing & Council tax you receive.

Question by tin_tin_man | Posted in Financial Aid
On the style it asks you to tick which benefits you are receiving and the one that I receive is the child tax credit. But then next to it in brackets it says (but not working tax attribution).
This is a tiny bit confusing! Is it saying that you cannot claim if you're receiving them both or is it just to say... we only have need of to know whether you are receiving child tax credit and you do not need to let us know if you are also receiving working tax credit?
Please boost!!!
Answer: you destitution to be on child tax credit and on free school meals to get the grant. You also have to send a original despatch from child benefit dated after december 2008 with your application form.hope this helps
