Employer Did Not Take State Taxes Out Of My Daughters Payroll?

My daughter is a denizen of VA working for a Virginia based company. Are they not responsible for withholding her state income tax? Her W-2 showed no imperial taxes withheld, will she have to pay penalties?

Answer: I have been down that passage before, I had to pay them in full.

I Live In NJ And Work In VA - Where Do I Pay State Taxes?

I have a cat-house free in New Jersey and that’s the state of my residence. For about 2 years I will work in Virginia and temporarily live there. How do I go about shape taxes? Which state should withhold my taxes?

Answer: You have to arrange state taxes for both NJ and VA. For VA, you'll declare income earned in VA. For NJ, this is your home state so you'll have to swear ALL income including wages, dividends, and interests earned. You should get a tax credit for articulate taxes paid to VA for your NJ state tax return.

You cannot choose to just file one phase or allocate the income yourself.

BTW, Spock is the only one answers the question right.

I tried to attach that form and fill it out to the best of my talent, but was rejected. The reason for the rejection is that "On each form 1099-R that

Answer: You shouldn't be doing your own taxes. A 1099-R is for payments from a retirement lay out. A 1099-G is for payments from a government (usually a state government).

Did you have taxes withheld from your unemployment? If so, then you do have to send a transcribe of the form. If not, then you don't have to send the form with your tax return(s).

I hope this helps.
