How Does An Australian Citizen Who Has Returned Home After A Working Holiday In The UK Claim Tax Back? |
I was on a working feast maker visa in the UK during the tax year April 08/April 09 and port side the UK to return home on February 19th 2009 (I am an Australian citizen). I am trying to travail out how I can claim back the tax I paid whilst working in the UK during this time.
Is it at all possible to claim back Tax although I have already left the UK?
If so, how would I do this as an individual without having to go through a tax claiming armed forces?
Thank
| Answer: Steve is almost convenient. You can download the form P85 frm www.hmrc.gov.uk - no need to ring anywhere. You send it with your P45 which you should have received when you left-wing your job to your tax office in the UK. You wont get a P60 if you wern't employed at 5/4/09. Please dnt use a tax reclaim servie, they are a rip-off and you can do it easily yourslef. |
