I've been researching and demanding to learn as much as I can regarding the fair tax system that has been brought into focus by Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee. Throughout all of my readings, I've accomplished how this system would affect IRS agents; however, how would it affect those who are and those who will be tax practitioners? Thank you!

Eliminating today's complex revenues tax sounds wonder. The idea is not new. But would Congress ever allow that to happen? How much oppositon would Fair Tax run into? Unresolvable, yes or no?
Answer: Fair Tax has run into roadblocks for years because it is so regressive and would amount to a 30% or so sales tax (in withal to state sales tax.) It is a great idea if you are rich and not great if you are part of the most of us who will pay more.

The implementation of a national sales tax means retaxed already taxed dollars. So, if I have been investing my after tax dollars for the last 25 years, as in a second as a national sales tax is incorporated I am going to have to pay tax all over again?

I've been getting into the fair tax, it sounds like a healthy idea, one of the best I've seen to clean up our tax system mess. I know the fair tax would imply a 23% patriotic sales tax and do away with the IRS, but what would and wouldn't be be taxed under the fair tax and what taxes do we currently have now that would be eliminated?
