What Are The Specifications Of The Death (estate) Tax?

My forebear died recently and I need to know if I will have to pay a death tax this coming tax season. Is this tax dependent on the value of the estate or any other factors? We are usual to sell his house, but he had no other assets. The most we'll each get is about $12,000, if even that. He was disabled and on wellfare at the time. I always would ask him for tax message so I have no idea now.

Answer: Did your forefather transfer any property in the three years preceding the date of his death? If so, you may need to add that back to the value of his estate at girl of death. Did he make any substantial gifts in his lifetime? If so, you really need to consult a CPA.

Even if he did neither of the above-mentioned, it may well be value spending an hour talking through the specifics with a CPA. However, based on what you have said, I doubt you will even have to troop a return.

How Can I Calculate The Savings (tax Break) From Buying Real Estate?

I am told that the interest payments coupled with the real estate taxes are itemized on Schedule A and deducted from my income.

Are there any calculation tables or programs out there which can calculate out my tax bracket and savings?

I would like to figure out how much mortgage and taxes I can afford and I would make up that the amount of tax savings should be a major factor. people tell me how the tax breaks are great, but I would wish for to calculate exactly what

Answer: I don't discern what you mean by savings. The mortgage interest and property taxes are deducted on schedule A as you already distinguish. That helps to reduce the amount of tax you owe at the end of the year. (if you would have owed any). I guess what you are asking is how much each paycheck will you put away in federal income tax??

To figure that out you have to know how much interest per year your mortgage will be and how much property tax your forebears will be charged.
