Thanks
Answer: Your old shape P45 will be out of date and too old for new employer to use. Did new employer ask you to complete form P46? Even if he did, the chances are that he would be using predicament code (647L, on a week or month 1 basis), as he would not know any details about you from 6th April until you started this job. Taxes For Working 2 Jobs?
Question by ChiOmafia | Posted in United States
I'm belief of taking a second job for the summer. If I do this then which tax forms do I need to fill out or how would they differ from filling out a common W4 for one job? And, most importantly, would I have to update the W4 I initially filled out for my first job? My manager there is nuts and takes it very personally (scan: badly) when someone has 2 jobs, so would she even have to know?
Any other technical tax/gov't info on working 2 jobs would be much appreciated!

basically, I will tell my situation and my husband's and than advice us what is best to choose in the W4 practice.
I am newly married with no kids. My husband filed tax last year and income is low like $4600. This is my first job in US and so I had never filed any tax before as I had no job
Answer: He'll owe self work tax of around $700 on his income.
Unless he makes quarterly estimated payments, you'd be insightful to put "married but withhold at higher single rate" and zero allowances on your W-4 - that way you will very liable have enough taken out to cover the tax for both of you.
