If You Live In Oregon, But Work In Washington, Do You Pay Oregon Income Tax?

Surmise you live in Portland, OR. Across the river is Vancouver, WA. Oregon has an income tax. Washington does not. If you're working in Washington, does Oregon win you pay income tax?

 
 

Why Does Washington Tax Working People More Than Speculators?

The tax position on working class people is much higher than the tax rate in financial speculation. Is the our Ministry actually making it more attractive to speculate/gamble than actually work insensitive for a living.


Answer: We've lumped retired people in with hedge lucre managers for taxing purposes. If you point out that the current structure of the Capital Gains tax means billionaires pay 17%, they'll blot out behind the retirees who live off their mutual funds and say "You can't raises taxes on the ancient!"

How Is It That California And Oregon Have A 9%+ Income Tax And Washington Has No Income Tax?

I palpable in San Francisco and pay California's (in my opinion) outrageous 9.3% tax rate. In looking around I make note of that Oregon has a 9% top rate while Nevada and Washington have no income tax. I know that Oregon has no sales tax, so that sort of explains things there. Can someone please palliate to me in detail what Washington State's "Business and Occupation Tax" is all about? I am moving to Seattle in a span of years and any clear information on this would be greatly appreciated.

How Much Is Sales Tax In Washington Dc?

My secondary is going on a trip to Washington DC next month, and we get a couple of hours to go shopping. How much sales tax is on every dollar that i shell out?
