Does A Company Have To Send Out A Tax Exempt Certificate Each Year Or Just Once?

Yes, this is for sales tax and we are in the regal of Wyoming. I was wondering if we had to request new ones from people we do business with every year who are tax exempt. Thanks.

Answer: Assuming this is for sales tax:

Most vendors coerce it only once but they may ask for a new one now and then just to make sure that you are still exempt.

Some states (ie Washington) require a new one to be on file every 4 years so it can remodel by location.

Generally, if a vendor asks, send them a new one.
