If I Work For A Tax-exempt, Non-Profit Organization, Will I Still Be Taxed On My Paycheck?

It is a summer gig (AileyCamp) where I'll be working with kids for only over a month. I would like to know if I would be taxed and, if I am, for how much? I'm really just trying to rate how much money I could save and how much I could spend.
P.S.-the job's in MA.

Answer: Yes you'll be taxed. The classifying is tax exempt, you aren't. You'll owe 7.65% for social security and medicare. Whether you owe any other tax depends on how much you net total for the year, and where you live.

If this is the case, then, No you are not exempt! You have to report takings and pay taxes no matter where, or for whom you work, legally.

How Would A Non Profit Organization Still Awaiting Tax Exempt Status File Taxes?

If a non-profit has earned some resources (even if a rather negligible amount), how does it file taxes while waiting for tax exempt status?

Answer: Some operating reserves, customarily less than 5% net income can remain in accounts, and not affect non profit status. It depends on many factors, like how the revenues was generated, donations, expenses, even type of operations.

If I'm correctly interpreting that the funds in doubt are negligible, file as if the exemption were granted. My guts are telling me to prepare both returns. Nothing but to ensure that the tax liability is small, just in case.

Can a non profit organization lose its status if it hosts a used ...

Also, if such a fundraising liveliness uses volunteer labor or donated goods, then such an liveliness will not threat your tax-exempt station nor will it be treated as return from an incompatible question labour. Counter-statement by Secular25 The key here is whether such an endeavour is sound in relation to the total activities of the group’s exempt activities. Can we squander our non for profit station if we invite a “for profit” laws distributor to participate in our hardened books traffic. If this is an annual happening (or not regularly carried on) then large it will have no impact on the tax-exempt station. The “for profit” laws distributor will be selling second-hand books only. I labour for a non for profit putting together.
