I acclimated to to live in Maryland, but I moved to Virginia in 2003. A couple of months ago, the state of Maryland sent me a letter stating that I owed taxes from 2005. I sent them a the world of letters stating that I had not lived in the state of Maryland since 2003. However, I've since discovered that the company I worked for (which was based out of New Jersey), continued to communiqu my earnings to Maryland even after I moved to Virginia.
