What Was It About The Swiss Tax Regime That Attracted Lewis Hamilton?

He claims that his name means he can't enjoy a normal life here in the UK, but I still think tax might have had something to do with his decision to go.

Answer: I don't reprove him to be honest, the rates of tax in this country are ridiculous, especially as tax is increasing while the standard of services we are getting are expeditiously decreasing. The hardest working honest people are the ones who are penalised the most.

If I had enough well off to make it worthwhile, i`m sure i`d be joining him out there.

To the previous answerer, I don't think he is letting us down, its his aptitude that has got him where he is today, not

I uncharitable a tax exile at 22 years of age (LOL) ? talk about arrival in the super gains league ! and also this matter of fans following him home, he will get away from Britain and then have Swiss Fans following him stamping-ground as well!
He is now living in a Goldfish bowl and everywhere he goes the paparazzi will be there with cameras and flash bulbs.

Answer: I don't see why he shouldn't be, every other driver chooses to do the same in either Switzerland or Monaco. When you notion of that he could easily earn £20 million next year, would you want to pay £8 million in tax to the control.

He will still have some attention in Switzerland, but he bound to have more privacy than living in Britain.

If I was lucky enough to be in his determine I would do the same

Civilization depends on taxes to run, yet it seems there's one rule for the rich and one rule for the poor.
ok Teddy you've got a peak, but not to my question. As for little blokes as you call them, Lewis will soon be the highest paid sportsman in the globe and no doubt stand on the podium many more times while our national anthem plays, yet he hasn't even got the decency to pay taxes to the provinces that's given him everything he's got.

Answer: It's a solid job we're not all like Lewis Hamilton, otherwise we'd have no NHS.

Answer: Previous to the early 1900's there was no income tax. I should say that the trip, however, was paid for by the government...it cost around $3,000 bucks I believe.

Answer: he wont be paying tax to anybody, he pays a one off pitiful sum to the swiss and lives tax free. selfish git!
