Isle Of Man-Tax Haven?

Could anyone legitimatize to me pls why Isle Of Man has its own Government?

It was once part of the British Isles so what/who decided that they should be independent from the UK?

Thanks

Answer: The Isle of Man is considered a "British His dependency". "The United Kingdom is responsible for the Islands' worldwide relations and for their defence and the Crown is ultimately responsible for their good government." Basically, they're an besides dependency and they govern themselves. I couldn't find any explanation for how the Manx achieved that relationship.
