Import Tax??!!? |
Hi everyone,
I am buying a bygone computer (Commodore 64) The guy i am buying it from is in Canada and i am in the United States. Will i have to pay import tax? if so where? i am located in New Jersey, Zip jus naturale 'natural law' 08244 the item is valued at $50 U.S.

Will they pay the tax when they send it or will i pay the tax when it comes to my door, also if i am out when the unite comes will they just send a bill for the import tax or will i have to pay the
| Answer: If calling is assessed, you'll have to pay it before the package will be delivered. You'll get a card from the delivery company that you'll have to take to their local division; most of them are paying agents for Customs. UPS used to accept a personal check at the but of delivery, not sure if they still do though. I've bought computer parts from a Canadian supplier a number of times and have never been assessed any fealty. Everything was under $200 and all were used. Not sure if |
