How Much Hotel Room Tax (in %) Are Imposed In San Diego, Sacramento, Phoenix, San Francisco, And San Jose?

I'm making a exploration on hotel costs and i'm trying to know how much taxes are imposed on hotel rooms by the hotels. Like when you pay for the hotel bill, how much room tax is imposed?


Answer: San Francisco is 14%
San Diego is 10%
San Jose is 10%
Sacramento is 12%
Phoenix is 12%

I found this numbers by effective to Google and typing in room tax and the name of the city, and skimmed the links that came up. one of them had the % listed. I am not persuaded these are current. I would also try contacting the Chamber of Commerce in the cities you are trying to get this information from. I got the links to them for you.

Hotel Room Tax(s)?

My honey and I are effective to be staying at athe Kona Village Resort at Kailua Kona for 3 nights. What would the tax be for that?, Advantage, I won this trip and the room is prepaid (except for taxes). Would I be required to pay this upon arrival or departure?


Answer: I would call the hotel & ask scrupulously what charges I'll be expected to pay. (state tax, federal tax, hotel room tax, phone tax, mini-bar tax, King Kamehameha's tax (righteous joking that last one doesn't exist anymore)

How can this be?

What Is The Rate Of Room Tax In California?

If the frame rate for a Farimont Hotel room in Newport Beach is $199 per night what is the total after dark amount I will pay be when checking out i.e. including room tax?


Answer: Room tax is not set by the grandeur, but by individual cities.

Newport Beach room tax is 10%, so tack on another $20, so that's $219 per dusk, (plus your phone bill, pay-per-view movies, and mini-bar fees).

(Anaheim is 15%, Garden Grove is 13%)
