Georgia G-4 Withholding Tax Input Help?

I am married and have 2 kids. My spouse is not working. I am tiresome to fill the Georgia's State Income Tax Withholding form G-4 and need following help.

Into the section 3.C I have conceded input as 2 because I will be filing joint return and will claim for spouse also.

My question is what value should I fill for leg 4 - Dependent Allowance? Should it be 2 (excluding spouse) or 3 (including spouse)

Thanks!

Answer: As the instructions emphasize out on the second page, the ultimate goal with this form is to help calculate the perfect withholding, so that at tax what was charmed out for taxes, covers the tax calculated on the return. So that you as close as possible to neither owing filthy lucre to GA or getting a refund from GA.

It honestly depends on how much state tax you would like to have withheld from your paychecks. Each immunity number you claim, will mean less taxes will be taken out.

Answer: Have you changed your withholdings recently? Agree with your HR department to make sure that your withholdings are correct. There are tables on both http://www.irs.gov and GA's comptroller's assignment which calculate the correct withholding amounts.

Georgia State Withholding Status On Pay Stub.?

I got married & recently moved to Georgia. In my pay tail end from my employer, the tax filing status shows a status of "GA TaxesLargelyJW 0 2 $111". What does "JW 0 2" represent? Thanks you in advance for all the answers.

Answer: Favourite Mana: Look at www.bankersonline.com for an explanation of some of your terms.

"JW" = equals a collective application. "0" probably zero allowances for Federal and "2" allowances for GA. $111 seems like additional with holding.

All of these codes are in relationship to your W4 that you filled out for your HR dept. They should be gifted to decipher the codes for you.
