I'm positive there are lots of free online filing sites to file for '06 tax, however, which one would be the best if I wanted to register tax with stock investment gains? I've been filing with Turbotax for few years, however, they want me to upgrade to the opening night version if I need to enter my stock gains/losses. So far, I'm down to OLT.com. Any suggestions?
I will be filing as an mortal by the way. And my stock gains are not that much so I don't want to pay the extra $40 turbotax asks

Free Tax Filing Online With TurboTax.... Has Anyone Used It?
Question by Vol_Fan | Posted in United States
We most often get a tax company (like H & R Block) to file our taxes every year, but they really hiked their fees this year, and we exactly don't see paying that. I saw that TurboTax had a free online filing service AND you can efile for free too and get your refund in 8 days. Impartial wondered if anyone had used this yet and what they thought about it. Thanks!
Answer: I have been using it for about 5 years because H&R charged me out the wazoo. Turbo tax is sensitive because it will tell you what you owe or will receive before you pay.
If memory serves from last year they do let you efile your federal for free, but there is like a $30 use fee and you have to pay for state as well.
However you slice it it still costs less then any other place I've used. Plus I get to do it myself so I learned relatively a bit over the last few
