i went to turbo tax to try to organize the free federal tax return and at the end it was making me put a credit card number in and paying 20 dollars, im only getting 3 dollars back where can i enter online for free???

I haven't filed my 2005 tax return yet and the deadline is the 15th.

Is there any way to efile it for free?

How want will it take to get my refund check?

Answer: Nope. You have to mail it in. As great as it's postmarked by midnight on April 15th, you're good to go. Allow 8 to 12 weeks for processing and disenthral of your refund. Prior year returns take a back seat to current returns during tax seasonable.

If I Itemize, Can I Use One Of The Many Websites That Offer Supposedly Free Federal Tax Returns?

Seems like it's only free if you use the beau id deduction, but my charitable contributions are more than the standard deduction.
What about those who itemize. Are these websites still free if you list?

Answer: You can't detail until Feburary 15 when the government gets their act together.

Answer: It is free to interfile. Just send it in the mail. Now if you are talking about Electronic filing then you would have to purchase a program. Turbotax no longer offers the cut. TaxCut does. You must pay first and then send in your form and you will get refunded.

Im using TurboTax Deluxe 2009, is it sport to file the tax return with free federal and $19.99 for state? or is there any other software that will do it for free?

Answer: Me and my boyfriend are using Turbotax Deluxe Federal + Nation 2009 + efile. The software was a total of about $57 at Walmart but after all the efile-ing for allege(Printing and sending it in are free) and because we had to buy an additional state, it's going to cost us $138+..... But I've utilized Turbotax for years and I'm a pretty loyal customer.... I should get a discount for the wherewithal spent on it tho, but it says I have to have some kind of miscellaneous expenses and some other bs in
