I a check from a estimable bank, that said it was for a RAL which I didn't apply for - it said I had to pay it back in 11 days - but I am reasoning this is my actual refund check!
| Answer: That check is presumably not from the IRS. The IRS does not make you pay back your refund --you either get a refund check or you pay in. I believe RAL stands for Refund Anticipation Loan. Did the check come with some kindly of letter with a phone number of whom you can contact. Sounds like a scam to me |
