Can I Efile And Use The First Time Homebuyer Credit From DC Form 8859?

I fall short of to claim the DC first time homebuyers credit on form 8859; however one tax site stated I had to send my IRS 1040 by post with the form 8859 already completed. I really want to efile. Can you help?

Answer: when you e-data using Form 1040, Form 8859 will automatically attach to the 1040 e-file when you atone for line 54 for your 8859 tax credit; just answer the items pertaining to Form 8859 when they fly to pieces up and it is sent, e-filed, with your 1040

You will need to file a NJ regional return and pay taxes on income from both Company One and Company Two. However, you can claim a credit against your NJ taxes on the NY and DC taxes.

What Are The State Tax Laws In Virginia? What Form(s) To I Have To Fill Out?

I will be working in DC and living in Virginia for 10 weeks this summer. The W-4 I fill out for my federal taxes, is it the same in VA or do I fill out a diff one? Which form do I fill out for the dignified taxes. Am I excempt from any payments, since I will filling out so many (I also file local taxes because I will still be a Puerto Rican recident)?

Answer: First, your company should provide you with any forms that you need to complete. It's their responsibility.

Second, you only need to absolute one W-4. It covers both federal and state.

Whether you'll be exempt from 'any payments' depends on a lot of factors that you didn't note in your post. Perhaps the HR department of your employer can help.
