Why Don't They Tax Car Fuel Differently?

I'm philosophy of something like the first 40 litres a week would be taxed at a lower rate than the fuel against after that. Every car would have a dedicated key fob that recorded the fuel purchases in a given week.

It would help people wiser afford the basic fuel they need to get on in life and help cut down on unnecessary journeys and gas guzzling vehicles.

What are your thoughts on a system like that?

Answer: Being incompletely disabled,and having to drive an infirm parent around as well,I'm screwed which ever way the price of fuel is taxed.
 
 

How Much Will I Save On Car Tax With LPG Converted Bi-fuel?

I am thoughtful about buying a 52 plate 2.0L Kia Sportage which has been converted to LPG fuel,does anyone remember how much car tax will be on this? And is it cheaper to run? Will appreciate any information about this, thanks.

Answer: you shortage to state where you are located.

In the US, I don't think you can convert a Sportage to LPG because you need to have the tank located "front". I guess a secondary chamber can be fitted with vents to the casing.

Next, the fuel mileage will decrease by 25%, no matter where you live. The taxes on LPG varies. In the US it varies by voice. Some states have fixed tax paid annually and others require you to render your miles driven and than a tax is

Comapny Car Tax / Fuel - UK Only?

Hi there

I drudgery all over Scotland and in a different location every day.

Our offices are 60miles from my home and technically I am based there.

The companionship will pay my business miles from home to each location I work at but has now said I will need to be taxed on antisocial fuel. When travelling to the office I am not allowed to claim for any mileage. It seems that i will still be paying for some mileage but will be taxed as though I get all

Do I Still Pay TAX On Company Car And Fuel If I Opt Out Of Scheme Part Way Though A Year?

I'm pensive about opting out of the company car scheme, I was going to stop having a car at the end of this TAX year, but circumstances have changed and i'm now all in all doing at the end of this month or next? But will I still pay TAX on the car and fuel benefit for the remainder of the year?

Answer: No, your owner should send a P46 (Car) form to HMRC to tell them you no longer have the benefit. Your tax patterns will then be amended.

We Was Thinking Of Coming To Canada To Live.How Much Is Car Tax And Fuel?

Hi we are philosophy of coming to Canada to live.My huspond is a welder and we live in the uk.All we seem to do is work and with car tax and fuel costs getting higher we still dont be entitled to enough is it the same for canadians.Fuel is now 1.33 a litre and is going up every week.We live in a rural section so we have no other way of getting around.One of your MPs is saying come to Canada for a better quality of life is this right?

Just want to say that gas in Quebec varies from $1.33-$1.50/L and that can be in the same town. Revenues taxes here are very high.

Across the border in Ontario I've seen the gas at $1.22 in recent weeks. I'm appealing close to the border so we buy gas in Ontario when we're making a trip there anyway.
