If I Buy Car Tax Online, Can I Still Drive It Without It Being Displayed While I Wait?

i have no tax, and have to be tabled for the insurance documents to come through, can i buy tax online and not display the disk until it arrives? or will i still get pulled and fined?

If i buy my car means tax online today, could I drive my car legally?

I don't get the disc till 4-5 days but it would be on their system that ive bought the tax...
I'm waiting for my security docs to come thru, but need to drive the car tonight!

Answer: yes it would be on the system that you have paid the VED
so any automated inspect would knwo that you had paid the tax
however there is another part tot he VEDE legistaltion which is failure to display, and that is when your vehicle is seen without a VED disc. even if you have VED this is a isolated offence. however its unlikely that you will get caught
