Where Can I Look Up The Property Tax Rate In Bexar County?

I am well hip of the county assessor's web site, but more specifically, what is the property tax rate?


Answer: call them and ask. they should be proficient to tell you what the rate is. but if it is anything like here in small town illinois, there are many variables to weigh. we do not have a simple flat rate, different entities (ie...fire protection district, library province, school or municipal bonds...) have a different rate
 
 

How Can I Get The Bexar County Tax Evaluation For 1982?

I room in San Antonio, & I need to find a cost basis for my IRS tax return. I received the property in '82, in a dissolve settlement. I need to find out what was the Tax Assessors evaluation in '82. I have THREE days left to get my carry back filed!!! Help!!!


Answer: First-rate bet is the Bexar County Appraisal District. But they might not have records back that far.

Property Taxes On A New Construction Home In Texas?

I purchased a new construction expert in in August in San Antonio (bexar) and need info about property taxes. First, when do homeowners in general recieve their tax bills? Taxes are due at the begining of the year apt? We have not recieved any bill or notice. Also how do I know when they have appraised my house for it's new value (ie. not just the value of the motherland anymore). Will they send a notice of the new appraised value once they reappraise it? I don't improvise they have yet because


Answer: All of your questions can be answered by the property appraiser's place. Give them a call.

Buying A Foreclosed Home By Paying The Taxes?

I've heard that once you pay taxes on a competent in that is late/behind in these, the house then belongs to you.

---Is this true in the county/state of Bexar/Texas?
---What is the corral? (IE If the house loan wasn't ever paid, do you have to then take the loan over and pay for the house, or it is just the taxes and then whatever on Easy Street you need to maintain the home/insure it/etc???)

---If this is for real and allowed in Texas, where would I go to find


Answer: It is constant. You must pay the taxes on the house for at least 5 years. Then you can hire an attorney and go to court to get the deed. If the homeowner pays the back taxes, you get all your in money back plus interest. On 99.9% of all houses, the taxes get paid up before you get the deed.

The good part of doing this is that all mortgages are wiped-out by the Tax Grasp (by you). So you will own the house free and clear.
