How Do I File Arizona Taxes When My Husband Is A Resident Of A Different State? |
I am a home-owner of Arizona and my husband is a resident of Alaska. Arizona state taxes ask what your federal adjusted obvious income is, but this would include my husbands wages which are NOT taxable by Arizona. Should I use married filing separate? or what do i do?
| Answer: You case Form AZ 140PY as part-year residents. AK doesn't have a state income tax. Since AZ is a community characteristic state, I'd recommend you go to a tax pro who will know how to allocate community income and deductions, and walk the most advantageous way for you. |
