I have gotten a sample of my 2007 Tax Return (1040).
However, I accidentally sent out a copy of my tax return form to one of the colleges I am applying to, without aware it was the last copy I had. What should I do now? I really need it ASAP since a lot of colleges need it to determine the amout of my economic aid!

You can request a democratic transcript of your return by calling (800) 829-1040. The IRS claims that a transcript may be (key words: MAY BE) an all right substitute for an actual return for lending agencies for student loans.

Signed 1040 Tax Form?

I called the IRS to get a rendering of my 1040 form from 2007.

But to get financial aid, I must send my school a signed 1040 form. Is there any difference from the 1040 form I got from the IRS and the signed 1040 form?...After all, I filed my taxes online.

Answer: An IRS representation and a signed copy of the 1040 form are not the same thing. The school should accept either if you sign them. However each year I perceive stories about different schools that seem to make up the rules as they go. I always instruct clients to standard either if they are sending it to a school for financial aid. You should try the online site that you used to see if you would be able to choice of words out a 1040 form.
